At First Christian Academy (F.C.A.), our academic program is designed to educate the whole student—mind, body, and spirit—while preparing them for real-world success and Christ-centered living. Alongside core subjects, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of enriching electives that enhance their learning experience and help them discover their God-given talents. Our elective offerings include STEAM, Career Exploration, Volunteer Opportunities, Computer Skills, Music, Art, Yearbook, Physical Education, and Life Skills. These courses are intentionally designed to foster creativity, build practical skills, encourage leadership, and develop a strong sense of responsibility and service. At F.C.A., we believe learning extends beyond the classroom, equipping students to grow academically, spiritually, and personally as they prepare for the future God has for them.

At First Christian Academy (FCA), our STEAM elective (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in a hands-on learning environment. Students are encouraged to explore real-world problems through innovation, collaboration, and project-based learning that connects classroom concepts to everyday life. By integrating both the arts and sciences, STEAM helps students develop problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a strong foundation in technology and design thinking. This elective not only strengthens academic understanding but also prepares students to confidently step into future careers with a Christ-centered mindset of excellence, creativity, and purpose.

At First Christian Academy (FCA), our Career Exploration elective for grades 6–8 is designed to help students begin discovering their God-given strengths, interests, and potential future career paths. Through engaging lessons, hands-on activities, guest speakers, and real-world connections, students are introduced to a wide variety of professions and industries. This course encourages self-discovery, goal setting, and character development while helping students understand how their skills and passions can be used to serve others. By building awareness at an early age, FCA equips students with vision, confidence, and direction as they begin to consider the future God is preparing for them.

At First Christian Academy (FCA), our Volunteer Opportunities elective is designed to cultivate a heart of service, compassion, and leadership in every student. Through hands-on involvement in school, church, and community-based projects, students learn the value of giving their time and talents to make a meaningful impact. This elective encourages students to step outside the classroom and actively serve others, developing responsibility, empathy, and a Christ-centered mindset of humility and generosity. By participating in real volunteer experiences, students grow not only in character but also in their understanding of what it means to live out their faith through action.

At First Christian Academy (FCA), our Computer Skills elective equips students with the essential digital literacy needed for today’s world while grounding them in responsible, Christ-centered technology use. Students develop foundational skills in typing, word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, and online research, as well as safe and ethical internet practices. Through hands-on learning, they gain confidence navigating technology tools that support both academic success and future career readiness. This course prepares students to use technology effectively and wisely as they grow into capable, informed, and responsible digital citizens.

At First Christian Academy (FCA), our Music elective gives students the opportunity to explore and develop their God-given musical talents in a creative and encouraging environment. Through vocal training, rhythm development, music theory, and performance opportunities, students grow in both skill and confidence. This course fosters an appreciation for worship and the power of music as a form of expression and praise. Whether students are beginners or experienced musicians, F.C.A.’s Music elective helps them use their gifts to glorify God while building discipline, teamwork, and creativity.

At First Christian Academy (FCA), our Art elective encourages students to explore creativity as a reflection of God’s creative nature. Through a variety of mediums such as drawing, painting, design, and mixed media, students develop their artistic skills while learning foundational elements of art and design. This course provides a space for self-expression, imagination, and personal growth, helping students build confidence in their unique abilities. At FCA, we believe creativity is a gift, and our Art elective empowers students to use that gift with purpose, excellence, and joy.

At First Christian Academy (F.C.A.), our Yearbook elective gives students the opportunity to capture and celebrate the memories, milestones, and everyday moments that make our school community special. Students learn skills in photography, design, writing, and layout as they work together to create a publication that reflects the heart of F.C.A. This course builds teamwork, responsibility, creativity, and attention to detail while allowing students to tell the story of the school year from a student perspective. Through this hands-on experience, students gain real-world skills in media production while preserving a lasting record of life at F.C.A.

At First Christian Academy (F.C.A.), our Physical Education elective is designed to promote healthy living, teamwork, and personal discipline in a fun and active environment. Students participate in a variety of fitness activities, sports, and skill-building exercises that encourage physical strength, coordination, and endurance. Beyond physical development, PE helps students learn the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and self-control. At F.C.A., we believe caring for the body is an important part of honoring God, and our PE program supports students in building lifelong habits of health, confidence, and active living.

At First Christian Academy (F.C.A.), our Life Skills elective is designed to equip students with the practical knowledge and character foundations needed for everyday success.
